. I'm a huge fan of Homeworld style space fantasies of which this game could be putting you in the cockpit of an interceptor. +. I got this for the VR of which I'm borrowing temporarily, but wow this game is the one that convinced me to upgrade my gfx and fork out the cash for a Vive of my own.
+. Easily makes you feel like a badass space pilot even in non-combat. +. Only one playable vessel. Lack of non-combat fleet maneavers for those immersive roleplaying wierdos who want to get a taste of the scifi.Beautiful, although I hear the campaign is short I just got it for the VR experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the visuals and sound reminding me heavily of Homeworld (big plus). The ship feels physical and the controls can give you the sense of circling friendly/enemy capital ships like a badass ace pilot.I love that the details of the cockpit and the mechanical sounds lend themselves really well to the overall VR experience.I did expect though that with the power to command other vessels, you might also take direct control of other non-capital ships with single pilot seats; Alas not.And the controls are such that it would have been awesome if you had to perform landing/takeoff maneauvers on capital ships or stations for repairs and resupply.

Posted: 1 AprilThis game is an absolute hidden gem. Its challenging but fair with a moderate learning curve that any determined person can actually become a god at. It is just so satisfying, blowing up traitorous scum in your ship or with the assist of your Ai comrades.Controls are smooth, maybe a little sluggish but overall smooth and just one of those things you get used to as you continue to play. The addition of the lite-rts elements is actually good and gives each level an added depth. The levels themselves are also quite varied, in terms of enemy ship types, asteroids and other stuff. If anything i wish it was a little longer, or that the developers would make a sequel because its just the right mixture of launch and play and difficulty that hits the right spot.Id suggest waiting at for a sale of 20% or more since its a fairly short game, unless you are the kind of person who spends hours on the shortest games.
